Humanpowered.art was started in November of 2024 by Japan-based photographer and writer David R Munson. It is driven by a belief in the value, power, and importance of human creativity, especially as the preponderance of generative AI grows. 

The goal of Humanpowered.art  is to help people find, connect, and work with creatives around the world who also believe in the value, power, and importance of human creativity.

This is all about empowering people and helping them find others with whom to collaborate, as well as simply to find the work of other people to enjoy. We are not here to pick a fight with users of generative AI, only to provide a service for those who prefer the fruits of actual human creativity to the unethical derivations thereof. 

Creators of all kinds are welcome to join the directory. You need not be a professional to join, amateur artists are every bit as welcome.

Registration fees will be kept low for the sake of accessibility, but are necessary to help cover the costs of the hosting, software, and labor to keep things running.
